Vicky Kearney has been kind enough to volunteer her time to teach all the children some Spanish over the past few weeks. The children have learned how to count, how to greet someone, to discuss their emotions and all about Argentinian culture and food. Today the children learned about mate. This is a tea-like drink that people in Argentina drink when they get together socially. They drink it out of a cow’s hoof. It is made from a herb called yerba.
